Bricking Solutions knows that efficient handling of refractory can make or break a relining project. The Bedding Cart not only allows for the movement of bedding refractory as the bedding process progresses, but provides stair steps to facilitate the placement of refractory to or just above the spring line on larger kilns. When bedding out the bottom half of a kiln, staging needs to be erected to provide a flat surface for the mason to place brick to or slightly above the spring line. The Bedding Cart also is a storage area for refractory and rolls up kiln as work progresses. Typically the staging needs to be redesigned and built for every outage.

         In addition, the deck is on wheels and holds one to two pallets of brick allowing the brick to move in conjunction with the work. A pre built bedding cart is a one time cost for a fixture that can be used over and over again whereas the standard method of erecting wood staging involves reoccurring cost of labor and material to build. In addition, bedding carts help increase the speed of refractory installation thus reducing outage time and increasing production. By providing a safe and ergonomically correct working platform for the masons, there is a reduction in fatigue and lost time accidents.

Modeling Quality

All of our products manufactured by Bricking Solutions are designed utilizing the latest solid modeling software.  This ensures attention to detail during the design of our products before we even cut the first piece of aluminum.  By modeling our products, we ensure optimal fit of components during assembly, precise alignment our product with your application or kiln, proper ergonomics so your work can be completed safely and efficiently, and accurate and complete structural analysis to provide the specifications you need.
In the case of a bricking machine, the solid model allows us to move the components of the machine through its range of motion and configure it for each application.

From the solid model, we also derive detailed drawings for accurate manufacturing and archiving of our products.

For custom products, we further our study by running a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on key structural areas.  All of our products are analyzed in this manner initially and then as needed as designs deviate from standard studies.

And of course, the tried and true hand calculations will never go away.  Although there is so much that we can substitute with software, the use of basic hand calculations can be quick and give our designers additional confidence in our structural models.

Cemax Engineering Conference

Bricking Solutions was invited for a symposium in Malaysia by Jimmy Ooi and JL Ching of Cemax Engineering which was held in Kula Lumpur June 27th – 29th 2012.  They had over twenty in attendance from cement plants from around Malaysia, there was very good participation from the invited guest with questions and comments.

Mr. Yii Sing Hwa (Production Engineer) of CMS Clinker in particular talked about their satisfaction with their light weight aluminum kiln access ramp purchased from us in 2010.  Mr. Yii Sing Hwa shared with the group that they had a local manufactured steel ramp the was heavy and difficult to install and remove from the kiln taking them 12 to 16 hours for installation and removal.

In comparison with Bricking Solutions custom designed light weight aluminum ramp it only takes them 2 hours for installation and removal letting them restart their kiln about 24 hours sooner than they were able to with the heavy steel ramp.

 All Bricking Solutions ramps are custom made to your specific kiln and burn floor and is constructed out of high grade, lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum.

The aluminum is as strong as steel but 1/3 the weight which makes our ramps much safer and easier to install into the kiln taking about 1.5 hours for complete installation.

 Each is designed to support a 6,804 kg (15,000 lb) live load capacity with a 3:1 safety factor built in giving it the ability to support working demolition equipment. Heavy duty fall guards are also standard for safe travel over the cooler.

Basic EZ Flexx for CMS Clinker

Congratulations to CMS Clinker Sdn Bhd and Thank You to Cemax Engineering Sdn Bhd and Brokk Asia-Pacific Pte. Ltd for their new Basic EZ Flexx Bricking Solutions bricking machine

CMS Clinker Sdn Bhd ordered a Basic EZ Flexx bricking machine for their 4M Kiln. All basic machines comes standard with a 4.2M (14') work platform and a 2,700 kg (6,000 lb) live load capacity.

All Bricking Solutions EZ Flex machines have color coded gimbled polyurethane castor wheels with kick brakes and lock out pins. This allows for safer and easier machine movement over bedded brick.

Segmented double arch, screw jacks and hydraulic arch jack adjusts for kiln distortions with extreme ease of adjustment & safely saving time. Cylinders remain flush with solid brick shelf on the arch until deployed.

Quick connect fittings and exposed cylinders allow for cylinder change out in under 10 minutes or cylinder bypass during an outage.

All our bricking machines are made from high grade T6-6061 aluminum. 1/3 the weight of steel but superior strength.

Custom non-skid aluminum Perf-O-Grip planking for sure footing and less buildup.
